Dear Expert,

I need your kind help to handle the data sheet of my thesis research,
the sheet is attached for your kind review,
the sheet contains survey questions - rows - and columns represent the respondents.
Each question has several possible choices and the respondents should choose only one answer. Firstly, I entered the data as zeros for discarded choices and 1 for the selected choice answer but unfortunately SPSS didn't accept this format. and I should enter only one value for each question; 1 for the first choice, 2 for the second choice and so on. of course the sheet is too large to make it manually (approximately 300 columns * 1000 row).

so, I need your help to make a formula that expresses this solution.
