cell comments
Hello everybody,
can someone please help me with the next problem:
I have an excel file with many, many sheets. I want to send, via e-mail, only one sheet, so a copy the sheet in a new book (right click on the sheet -> move or copy -> create a copy -> new book). In some cells I have inserted comments. When I break the links to the main excel file (edit links -> break links) the comments also disappear. Why is this happening and how can I break the links without the comments to disappear?
I am using Excel 2007 (files with xlsx extension).
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

ok.. one more question.. why are you breaking links ?
If you are sending out a report, surely you can just copy and paste special values and formats to remove the links.
Also, is it a problem if you save the file as an xls ?
The problem persists even if
The problem persists even if I save the file as an xls.
I prefer not to use the "copy/paste special" option because I am sending many reports, to a lot of divisions, the reports have a lot of columns and rows (per months, per cost categories, etc), some cells have formulas, some cells dont. I want to break the links but not also the formulas. And by "paste special" option a turn everything into numbers, including formulas.
The problem is with excel
The problem is with excel 2007
the option checked is "indicators only and comments on hover"
Should I check "comments and indicators"?
I will try and come back with a feedback,
thank a lot for the hint :)
