Hi,

The excel file attached has a sheet named "Average Rank". Each of the items listed in the "App" column falls under a category in the sheet "Category". Now I have the data for each of the month (they are basically rank averages) for each of the items in column A of the sheet "Average Rank".

I have given a conditional formatting to the table (red to light yellow color) based on the decreasing order of ranks (from 0 to 20)

here's what i want:

If you scroll to the right of the sheet "Average Rank" you will see that there is a table with Composite, Specialized, Standalone and Live Streaming. I need to know for each month the top 5 apps for each of the 4 categories in all the months with a conditional formatting like what is there now. Actually i only need the color coding for each month and not the app name since I am looking for a heat index. Please reply with a formula and no VBA please..
